TOPBALL
The NB TOP BALL is a linear motion mechanism utilizing the rolling motion of a ball. It is used in a wide range of applications such as FA equipment, machine tools, electrical equipment, optical equipment and measuring instruments.
Features
High load capacity and long life
The ball contact raceway surface of the load plate is precision ground in the shape of a circular arc. This allows for approximately 3 times the load capacity and 27 times the service life compared to conventional products.
Self aligning
The load plate is thicker in the center and thinner at both ends to allow alignment movement around the center and to absorb machining and installation errors of the housing and shaft.
Floating Seal
The floating seal smoothly follows the shaft even if there is eccentricity in the O.D. or I.D. of both ends, thanks to the NB TOP BALL's characteristic self-aligning property. The floating seal also allows for compact design, with no change in overall length with or without the seal.
High-Speed Support
The NB Top Ball is a product that enables excellent high speeds. It can be used for motion speeds up to 5 m/s.
Adjusting one's space
The load plate is assembled free in the plastic outer casing. The load plate is assembled into the clearance adjustment housing to allow clearance adjustment between the ball and the shaft.
Top Ball Unit
The top ball unit has the housing inner diameter and other dimensions set appropriately to maximize the features of the top ball.
